Over the last 33 years, the windows industry has been turned upside down as far as designs, materials, thermal and acoustic performances. We have gone from wooden windows without seals or double glazing, to innovative solutions and materials. We now even use “mixed solutions” that unite several different materials in order to reduce to almost none, the need of servicing.
After careful research, Prisma Serramenti has chosen 3 solutions that we believe offer the best quality at the best value.
  1. 1) Traditional wooden windows – these can be produced using a great range of wood types, with thermal and acoustic performances that often go well beyond the minimal accepted energy standards. Our windows are painted using eco-friendly, non toxic paints, and have a brushed finish for that extra stylish look.
  2. 2) Mixed materials windows - offer the extreme strength and durability of a low maintenance, exterior aluminium frame with the beauty and warmth of naturally insulating wood on the interior.
  3. 3) UPVC windows – at the moment, these provide the best balance between costs, durability (they do not require any servicing), technology, acoustic performance and thermal transmittance.
For all of the above solutions, Prisma Serramenti has selected the best Italian brands on the market. All windows are made to measure, they meet the current requirements for thermal and sound performances, and can be used as part of home improvement tax credit schemes, such as 65% return for energy savings or 50% return for renovations.
In all 3 cases, Prisma Serramenti, uses an innovative technique of installation that does not require extra building works when your old windows are removed. This fitting technique, was first tested in 1995 directly in the home of Prisma Serramenti owner and director, Roberto Straccia. This unique installation system has a slightly higher cost compared to traditional ones, but it is worth it in terms of results.
